An I Care Moment is a communication tool that can be used during a meeting. Its primary purpose is to share experiences and examples of caring that occur personally or as a team in and outside the workplace to demonstrate our progress in our I Care Cultural Journey to a safe and healthy work environment. Sharing these communications can help us to learn from each other and celebrate.

Examples of I Care Moments:

  • Operators shutting down a machine because it is unsafe
  • Leadership reflections on what they could have done differently to prevent an incident
  • Blood drives in a community to help a team member
  • An operator having the courage to ask another operator to stop work and put their lock on
  • A team challenging the old ways of working to make a new way that is safer
